We are expanding our team and need a Infrastructure and Monitoring Engineer. 

Requirements

Core Technical Expertise

Zabbix Monitoring (strong hands-on)

  • Implementation and extension of dependency and parent-child logic for event correlation
  • Creation of network maps for internal and external customers
  • Configuration of dashboards, service monitoring, and SLA reporting
  • Development of custom checks (PowerShell / Bash), triggers, alerts, and escalations

 

Windows Server Infrastructure & Migrations

  • Administration and participation in migrations of Active Directory environments (DNS, DHCP, GPO, AD CS)
  • File server migrations using DFS Namespaces / DFS Replication
  • Management of ACLs (NTFS permissions, inheritance, auditing)
  • Participation in SQL Server migrations (high-availability setups as a plus)
  • Coordination of application migrations together with vendors and internal teams

 

Microsoft Entra ID & Microsoft 365

  • Administration and configuration of Entra ID tenants
  • Experience with Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect Sync
  • Implementation of SSPR, MFA, Conditional Access (practical experience)
  • Basic automation using PowerShell / Microsoft Graph
  • Experience with Exchange Online migrations is a plus

 

PostgreSQL (basic to intermediate)

  • Installation and configuration
  • Backup / restore and basic performance tuning
  • Understanding of replication concepts

 

VMware Workspace ONE UEM (nice to have)

  • Basic understanding or hands-on experience with MDM solutions
  • Experience with Secure Email Gateway / VPN / BYOD is a plus

Languages

  • English — Upper-Intermediate+
  • German — nice to have

Will be a plus

Additional Knowledge (as a plus)

  • Microsoft services: Terminal Services, Failover Clustering
  • Virtualization: VMware / Hyper-V
  • Backup: Veeam or similar solutions
  • Networking fundamentals (routing, VLANs, firewalls)
  • Linux basics (Ubuntu/Debian, networking, shell)
  • Scripting: PowerShell / Bash
